Major
League Fishing Tournament presented by Bass Pro Shops to be held May
19 & 20, 2006

in conjunction with
Bass Pro Shops
and Kiss 99.9 Country FM
has announced the largest bass fishing tournament to be held in the
Florida Everglades.
With
bass fishing more popular and the fishing hotter than ever, the
Florida Everglades will finally get the spotlight as being one the
best freshwater fisheries in the state. "Most know the
Everglades for it's beauty, but now Florida's best anglers will show
the true diversity of fishing in South Florida's natural lakes. Just
tailing the end of our peak season, there's no better time to host
an event of this magnitude during this weekend, "said founder,
Todd Kersey.
The
event will be held at Holiday Recreational Park off Griffin Road and
US-27, with an estimated 200 boat field. The full field will
compete on Saturday, May 19th for the top 25 spots, and on Sunday,
the top 25 team anglers will compete head-to-head with first place
winning an estimated $5000.00 in cash. The top 25 boats on Sunday
will trailer to Bass Pro Shops for a "BASS Master" style
weigh-in with a special guest announcer, including live music,
TV and media coverage for all to see
and enjoy.
There
will be a captains meeting and last chance register Friday evening,
May 18th at BASS Pro Shops. Time will be announced at a later date.
There will be no registration the morning of the event.
Bass
Pro shops will have vendors and sale promotions for everyone to take
advantage of. Food and beverages will also be available. Music
provided by KISS 99FM.
Don't
be late as you will want to see your favorite fishermen weigh-in his
trophy Everglades bass. It's sure to be a blast!
